Ten years ago, Dana Gleason and Renée Sippel-Baker founded Dana Design® on a simple premise: build packs that carry weight more comfortably than anything else around, then sell them to veteran backcountry travelers who know a great pack when they see one. Let the word spread, and success will follow. Ten years later, our packs are still setting the standard of excellence that our competitors strive to equal and Dana Design® is flourishing. In fact, we're about to open our fourth manufacturing plant. Our thanks to all the loyal customers who made it possible.

Dana Design® doesn't just build great packs; we build great packs for everyone. We have always believed that if a pack is worth making, it's worth making in enough sizes to fit tall men, short women, and everyone in between. That's why we've been amused by our competitors' recent emphasis on building women's packs, as if women had only recently discovered the outdoors. For 10 years, our small and extra-small packs have always been sized to fit women. this year we've refined the dimensions of our small and extra-small ArcFlex packs to fit narrow torsos even better.
