Description of Wild Country Ropeman MKII :

The Ropeman has become an essential piece of gear to take on every mountain adventure and is increasingly being used for big wall routes, industrial rope access and rescue situations. Because these intensive activities make greater demands on durability Wild Country has designed a second generation cam. The Ropeman Mark II had to remain compact and lightweight, however durability and an ability to function on a broader range of rope diameters became important. WC's new stainless steel cam fitted perfectly into the design brief. The use of investment casting has kept the low weight and compactness but has allowed WC to replace the ridges of the alloy cam with conical pins. This allows the Ropeman MK II to function on smaller diameter ropes and has long term durability. Revisions to the side plates and the addition of integral cam stops prevents over rotation in pulley systems and two color ways ease identification in multi-rope systems.
