Use this rope hook to neatly stack the rope at belays. Save time, top out faster, reduce rope snarls, and increase the organization of your station! Don't let blowing wind cause your rope to snag, proper rope stacking can prevent epics, and who likes those?
Uses: The Metolius Rope Hook makes rope management on multi-pitch routes a breeze! Features a clip-in loop for the anchor, heavy-duty materials which allow it to hold its shape, and convenient hook and cinch closure buckle for handy transport. Lightweight, convenient, easy-to-use, and inexpensive!
Weight: 2.4 oz.
Directions for Use: - Lay lap coils back and forth across the rope hook as the second is belayed up. If you're swapping leads, the rope is perfectly set up to feed for the next pitch.
- If you're not swapping leads (i.e. the same leader will continue), you can grab the coils of rope on either side of the hook and rotate the entire rope within the hook so the correct end is on top.
- At the top of the route or the end of the day, simply hook up the buckle and cinch it tight. Your rope is coiled up and ready to go.
Warning: Metolius Rope Hooks are not strength rated. Never use in a load-bearing situation.
